| Friedrich Finkbeiner, "Reute Fritz", as probably first driver in Baiersbronn. Friedrich Finkbeiner, also known as "Reute Fritz", was probably the first motorist of Baiersbronn. He passed his "Storm and Stess" years at Karl Benz at Mannheim, Germany, BBC London, Lanz and at Krupps dockyard - the "Germania Werft". He opend his own garage in Baiersbronn, which has been developed up to now to a VW car dealer run as a Family KG (KG = Kommanditgesellschaft = limited partnership).

| This is my Gr.gr.-Grandfather Johann Georg Finkbeiner (Line 2). He was 7 years old, when his father Andreas died and he passed away when his Son Gottlieb was 2. Sometimes it is greepy to read how close existance or nonexistance of descendants are, especially if you belong to them.

| The only one I have is of Johann Gotthilf (1842-1931) and his sisx sons. He obviously is the elder seated in front. Standing at the left end is my grandfather Carl "Charles" born February 2 1869 at Syracruse, New York. I can't identify the others.

| This was one photo I was not sure of. It was in the Finkbeiner family album and the man second from right with mustache next to the uniformed man looks very much like my great grandfather Johann David Finkbeiner born September 30, 1850. Also the number of people and sex matches the Jacob Federick Finkbeiner family in which he was 2nd oldest son.

| I have had a most wonderful discovery! I found two more people on the internet who are both from the same line of Finkenbiners that I am from. We are Finkenbiners you know, not Finkbeiners! : ) I have a photograph I am enclosing of Samuel Finkenbiner. He is great great great grandfather! This is the grandfather to Trivet, the picture I had sent you before, of my great grandfather. Anyway, this is a really old picture, can't believe I found this via internet pals, hope you find it interesting!
